Joyful Connections: Enhancing Communication Through Play
This session, presented by Wendi McMillan and Kristin Whitfield, will highlight how play and recreation can open doors to meaningful communication and connection. Hear for lots of fun and engaging ideas on Thursday, October 23 from 10:00–11:00 AM (CT) in Plaza 2.
AAC on the Page and Screen: What Can We Learn?
In this session, Kristin Whitfield will explore how media portrays people who use AAC, uncovering both challenges and opportunities for building awareness and inclusion. Enjoy movie and TV clips as well as consider what they can teach us in our own lives on Wednesday, October 22 from 1:30–2:30 PM (CT) in Atrium 1.
